As believers it can be easy to forget the truth of Jesus' return. We can get so caught up in our daily lives that we find ourselves consumed with the things of this world instead of fixing our gaze on eternity. Peter instructs us in this passage to remember God's Word as a light to our path so we can remember the truth that Christ will return one day to restore all things to Himself!

We are saved by grace alone through faith alone but after we become believers what comes next? Peter encourages us to work hard and make every effort in this new life to serve Jesus and become more like him. We don't do this in our own strength but through the strength he richly provides for us!

Mother's Day 2022

The world places impossible expectations on mothers. Moms are burdened with anxiety and guiilt because they are chasing after an unrealistic and unreasonable standard promoted through the culture and social media. Instead of trying to live up to the standards of the world, moms should look to the standard of the Word for how to be a godly mother.
